About the Role

Mission:  Drive the company’s ethos and infrastructure on sourcing, hiring, developing and retaining top talent while acting as the champion for company culture.

Outcomes that must be accomplished:

1. Accomplish a 90% success rate in sourcing, hiring & developing “A” level talent across NXT Ascent companies.

2. Create a talent sourcing infrastructure which is infused in company culture and utilizes all team members & their networks as a referral base.

3. Create a first 100-day onboarding process to be utilized in all new hires to ensure successful integration into their role and our company culture.

4. Champion a customer first company culture where our highly competitive and ruthlessly efficient people have fun performing their jobs every day.

5. Develop a system to measure job performance and work with managers to utilize this system.

As Director of Talent and Culture, you will act as a champion for company culture and help drive the company’s ethos and infrastructure on hiring, developing, and retaining world-class talent to support the company’s growth. You will partner with department leaders and managers to help build and support their teams. You will be responsible for all recruiting, training & development activities at the company.  This role is a Director level leadership role at NXT Ascent, reporting directly to the Co-CEO, and utilized as a shared resource across 14 consumer brand companies owned by NXT Ascent.

Responsibilities:

• Build and lead a world-class talent management function, including recruiting, onboarding and talent development.

• Partner with team leads and managers to evaluate current team structure and skills, org design, talent gaps and hiring plan to achieve business goals.

• Develop a system to measure job performance and work with managers to utilize this system.

• Prioritize a diverse and inclusive company culture through recruiting, training, policies, and conversation.

• Drive company culture through programs across the organization

• Drive implementation and adoption of key people analytics to help drive thoughtful, data-driven people decisions.

• Vet, implement and manage recruiting platforms at the company.

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of talent recruiting experience or managing a people operation at an early to mid-sized startup.

• Passionate about putting people and culture at the center of the company’s strategy.

• Relevant degree or equivalent experience with proof of people-related qualifications

• Superb communication and coaching skills

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and constantly evolving environment.
